After all the mad rush for Christmas, I'm finally able to rest with more hours of sleep and more time to spend with Wenwen. She has learnt more words and it's so much fun to talk to her now. She is quite a chatterbox haha... and likes to mention her encounters over and over again. She can still remember how a little boy pushed her at IMM's playground. That happened about 2 months back.

Brought her to watch Baby Looney tunes perform at Tiong Bahru plaza yesterday. There's a small area in front of the stage where only kids were allowed to sit, but Wenwen preferred to stay with me outside the area. A little boy gestured to her to come in and sit, and happily she went in, thinking that the little boy wants to make friends and play with her. I thought the same too... but after she sat down, there was quietness. The little boy did not talk to her or even look at her. Wenwen just sat facing him, feeling disappointed... and cheated?? Then she walk back to me and sat with me outside the area.


















I think she didn't really enjoy the show, maybe because she has waited 2 hours at the mall for the show to start. Half way through the show, she say she wants to sleep, and so we left. She didn't sleep till after 4 hours of playing at home.

Depression

Due to some problems, my mother-in-law can no longer help me take care of my daughter. She used to help me 3 times a week, which was a great help cos I can then concentrate on my work.
I've been so stress and really depress for the last 2 weeks taking care of my little one everyday, the worst 3 days was when my husband was in KL attending a meeting.

Christmas is coming, so I've got lots of orders to complete, 2 craft shows to run... now I even have to bring her to the craft show with me. I could have sent her to the childcare, but I really wanted to take care of her myself since I'm working from home, I just need 2 days off a week...
There is absolutely no time for my work. I get frustrated and weeps in the wee hours. It' s just so tough! When my daughter throws tantrums or misbehave, it just adds on to my stress. I could have lost control and slapped her, but of course I didn't. I still try my best to discipline her.

Oh gosh, I hope I can get used to the changes and be able to keep my cool.

MAAD Sunday market

This is my first time selling my works at MAAD. I didn't expect much sales cos the crowd was pretty bad... there were more vendors than buyers. After about 3-4 hours of waiting, sales started coming in and I was so excited. I managed to cover my 3 Sunday's rent and still have some profit. Hee hee... :-)

Silly buyer!

What a 'nice' start of my day...
Received this ridiculous email from a US buyer this morning:
I understand that you will have to ship internationally, but there is nothing in your ad that says you will have to charge more for international shipping or that you are in another country (so that you would have to charge international rates if purchasing in the US). If you will not change the shipping price, then I do not want to purchase from you on principle. You should change your ad or I will report you to Etsy as having an inaccurate ad.

This is the item she has purchased "Daisy- Pink pendant" . It's already stated in the right column under 'about the seller', location is Singapore. And if you scrolled down the page, the shipping fees are clearly stated. I've explained to her and yet she still doesn't understand and is till accusing me of cheating and misleading my buyers. She even threatened me that she'll be reporting me to Etsy admin. If she thinks the listing page is confusing, blame Etsy for laying out the page this way, not me! I wonder why she click 'buy now' without even looking at the shipping fees. Anyway, I've reported her to the admins and they've removed the transaction.

Wenwen's 'little house'

I bought this cute little tent for wenwen yesterday.
She's so excited and wanted me to come into her 'little house' and just sit there with nothing to play inside. It's so funny, she doesn't want anything inside. Well, as long she's happy, I'm happy too. :-)

我的首个中文BLOG

首次用中文写blog, 还真不习惯... 不是华语差或汉语拼音不行, 而是不习惯用电脑打中文. 天啊! 打一行字就花了我五分钟!
以前写blog是为了让美国的顾客多了解我而更有信心买我的作品. 如今我已不需这么做了, 因为我 已成功的拥有大约十个国家的光顾者! 嘻嘻... 不是我要炫耀, 真的有那么多到连我自己也不敢相信. 大多数来自美国, 其余的有英国, 加拿大, 丹麦, 瑞典, 澳洲, 日本, 意大利, 德国, 葡萄牙... 还漏了什么国家, 下回会在填.

十年的努力... 失败好多次, 终于见到曙光. 其实失败的过程也不算白走. 现在的我想得很开, 也比较坚强. 其实回想起那十年的苦... 还真的要感谢很多朋友的帮忙和鼓励. 还有父母亲给予金钱上的支柱也大大的帮了我度过难关. 最可怜的是老公, 他得面对我情绪上的拨动...真的是辛苦了. 现在最希望的是能看到他找到真正的快乐... 看到他发自内心的灿烂笑容... 老公加油!

My bet = Will sell.
Doris's bet = Will not sell.

End date = One week after this necklace is listed.

Whoever loses, will buy the winner a bowl of Thai beef noodle... yummy!!
So far I think I'm loosing....

Pressed flowers

I've been enjoying picking flowers with my little daughter. I pressed them for days and sandwiched between 2 clear glass. Now I know a faster way to pressed them using the microwave! Still waiting for my microfleur flower pressing kit to arrive from US.

Rings!

It's been a long time since I wrote anything here... have been extremely busy and lack of sleep. Taking care of my now 1 year old daughter is very tiring, at times boring... lol... I'm glad I found Etsy.com few months back and has since then switched from selling on ebay to selling on Etsy.com. My Etsy shop - LingGlass is doing so well that I look forward everyday to check my shop. But I don't have time to make more wearable arts... *Sigh*...
